Their age as a chapter in particular grants them access to truly ancient wargear and war machines from the dark days of the Horus Heresy and before. The chapter still maintains a healthy stock of Mk IV and MK III suits of armor. Even revered suits of Cataphractii and Tartaros pattern Terminator armor are present within the armory of the first company. The chapter's Sternguard veterans, and even other line company battle brothers have taken a liking to the old Umbra pattern bolter for the versatility provided by its bayonet mount.
