The eyes are done. The edges look rough, but those areas will be covered by the helmet.

Although they look opaque, it will still be possible to see through the eye slits. The effect was achieved by placing a layer of one-way privacy window film on a clear styrene sheet and then placing clear red cellophane on top of that. This results in a translucent and, to me, very authentic, metallic-red tint.
