Children within the amazon tribe usually keep their tails until their coming of age ritual where they must venture into the wild and survive an entire year on their own, if they succeed they return and are granted the title of warrior and the removal of their tail is a symbol of maturity and strength, Alia however still has her tail because she never got the chance to perform the trial being a child of war and she is the only adult in the village to keep her tail.

The children in the tribe take a huge liking towards Alia, no one else is her size and they all love her for it, a few girls managed to hold her down so they could braid her hair.
