This is a much better looking Macintosh HD icon rendered by:

This makes a great icon for my Mac HD. I made a few changes, like better lighting, a blue power light, rounded edges, and a shadow.

This icon is in native OS/X .icns format.

Note: After setting your icon in Candybar, you must adjust the size of it on your desktop, as the shadow makes it appear a bit smaller than it really is. Click the desktop, then do Command+J. Adjust your text size and icon size as desired.
