Now for something truly different--a whole panel of "Changelings" redone in full color.

This is notable, as from the start, "Changelings" has always favored the greyscale look by deliberate design--at the time I began working on the concept, doing comics in full color was too time consuming to be worthwhile for an ongoing series like what "Changelings" ended up being. I then continued to uphold that trait as the aesthetic just become part of it's "look."

But that's now changing for three different reasons:

-My technique has evolved to the point that I can now do full colored art much faster than I once did, and has made me much more willing to pursue doing so a lot more of the time.

-Over time, "Changelings" went from using only two or three different shades of grey to several, increasing the time it took to produce any given comic to the point now that it'll take about as long to produce as it would if I were to do it in full color, so there's now no longer a time-saving benefit.

-I've noticed through experimentation that viewers seem to favor the fully-colored art a bit more anyway. It's admittedly a little distasteful the idea of making a change just so to get more clicks, because doing this should be just as much for myself as it is for all of you...but at the same time, there's not much point going to all the trouble of sharing the art if few people look at it, so...I figure if I'm at a point where I can do it, then it'd be worthwhile for me to do so.

Now, as has already been made clear as of late, "Changelings" is currently in the midst of being reworked as a fully original project and is to be rebooted entirely when that's complete, but that's why I did this, because I'm likely going to do the "Changelings" reboot in full color like this now and I wanted to establish a specific procedure in preparation to that...and I was curious to see how it'd look anyway. I also used the chance to experiment some more with texturing, and I'm pretty pleased with how that turned out, so more of that will probably be happening too.

Anyway, short version is that "Changelings" is looking to go full color now. Rejoice!
