Description
Still took me longer than I'd like to finish this but here's another character of mine! I decided to try taking some inspo from American folklore for some of my characters in the project I'm in, and I thought babe the blue ox lined up with shiny miltank pretty well, so I just sorta went from there! Decided to take a shot at a more bulky body type again, and I'm liking out it came out! If her name didn't make it really obvious, I wanted to try and integrate the bluebell flower into her design a bit. All that really amounted to was adding one into her hair and some on her belt buckle, but I thought it was nice. Another pattern I integrated too was the cracks and rock patches seen in turquoise, since it had a bit of a similarity to cow spots. This made the spots look more like loose clumps of rigid polygons rather than splotches, which I thought was a neat little design quirk. Something I also really liked was how the Tera gem in her belt buckle ended up looking, even if it took me a while to get right. Overall I'd say I'm pretty happy with this design and I'm excited to see how else I could end up using this sorta inspiration framework!
In terms of character though, I still haven't developed her that much. Her feats of strength and rock manipulation made her a bit of a folk hero out in the frontier state she lives in, which ended up helping her secure a seat in her nation's parliament! However, she's still very much an outsider to the world of politics, and has very little understanding of actual political skills, which has sort of resulted in her becoming more of a party mascot rather than an impactful politician.
