Description A serene, lush world spreads out before you. A planet that is covered in water and continents that literally float along aerial currents above the vast waves. trees, flowers, meadows, valleys, falls, lakes, are present in every possible direction. As you look up to the sky, you notice three planetary rings that are non-aligned and weave across the sky as though someone took a paintbrush and stroke it thrice-ways to be seen no matter where you truly are. The waters are crisp and relaxing as you take a handful to drink from. For you had found what everyone had doubted was possible, you had braved the harsh perils of space itself to come here. You, little human, have brought yourself away from the names of Gods and Deities and Pariahs, all of them constrained and narrow-perceptive in the sense of the words. For now you know of the truth behind your people, the trials that you had faced and the joys and pains that came from them... all to reach this place. This place locked outside of the natural flow of time and space, always traversing the horizons abound, never stopping or faltering in its steps, just as it had when it first came to your world 6 billion years ago and gave to it the seeds of life from its waters. And even before that, maybe to the worlds you had already visited and the people of those worlds that you had met. Countless possibilities sing out in a vastly impressive chorus within your mind for an instant, but then you surrender to the moment of right here on the shore, and right now at a beautiful sunset to your side. And as you close your eyes, there was only one word that was soft-spoken in your head as you lay yourself down on the grass beneath the tree. Aquarius.

Isao Sasaki's Final Yamato: longest animated movie to date, the undefeated record-holder of that title for the past 30 years now. And the best way to end the original Yamato series itself. If you're a longtime fan of the original show (like me, grown up watching it in Idaho on old VHS recordings), or are one of the recent fans that saw the Remake series: 2199 (Which is not that bad of a remake in my opinion as it just builds up on things that we older fans saw when we were kids years ago, adding to it more story, plot elements, explanations that were left unexplained in the original show, etc. Yet still feel so: well, Yamato at the same time, it is not like those short, bad spin-offs made years later by individual 3rd-party groups, coupled with the Live Action and Yamato Rebirth movies which reeeeeeeally took away that Yamato-feel from it all for me.) If you want to see one of Sasaki's last and greatest of Yamato-Related masterpieces, as well as seeing the innate beauty of the movies' pre-CGI Animation, go to here: [link]
