This is my interpretation of the Arcane Idol for the Original Character Challenge. His name is William. He was a simple performer using candles to manipulate light and shadow. However, William's steadily dwindling audience invoked a great desperation to rekindle his performance. Long had he heard tales of the Ignis Fatuus, a mysterious phenomenon of light which could only be seen at night. After many nights of seeking out the legend, it presented itself to him in the form of a beautiful lantern. Equipped with this new talisman, he quickly discovered he had the ability to enchant his candles and will them as well as the light and shadows they produced to dance at his command. Word spread rapidly of William's new, mesmerizing shows adoringly called "Will-o'-the-Wisp." Posters and banners displaying his signature black-flamed candle were strewn along the streets wherever his performance tours took him. To this day whenever someone sees the Ignis Fatuus on a dark night, it is said to be William continuing his act with his lantern.
