- the Region he's from was, and still is, devastated by a war, that's raging for eons. Three camps have formed and each of them fight over the masterhood of this tiny Region.
- He's from a family that serve in the army for many generations, so it was no wonder that he would follow in his ancestors steps.
- His family was a caring and loving one.
- Even if he understood the meaning of being a soldier, he never minded this fact. He thought about it as a usual job that has to be done and so he could make his family proud.
- His greatest wish was to become as great as his parents.
- Even if his brother and he would quarrel, they cared deeply for each other.
- Even if his father looked more like the one who would put their sons in their place, it was actually their mother who did this mostly. She could even put her owm husband in his place again. She was somehow feared for this fact, among the Shepherd males.
- The misson, a simple observing mission, where Rime ought to ascent a higher rank, was also the day he lost his whole family. They got into an ambush. Rime could only watch as his whole family was eradicated. He owed the fact that he was still alive to his brother, who shielded him from a grenade.

A group of Pokémon promised a world without war, injustice and everything that made this world such a bad place. They wanted to build a better place for everyone. Rime was fascinated by this group. A place without war, eher others could lose someone who is dear to them, was just the thing he dreamed about. Even if it wasn't easy to join them, he made it and even became a loyal follower of this group.
- He can hide perfectly if something is wrong with him. Because he mostly smiles it's never easy for others to see if he's sad or not.
- Only if he trusts somebody deeply he will show all of his feelings.
- The beret he wears is from his father, he cares deeply for it. The emblem on it's side symbolizes a friend of his father who fought with him side by side, once in the Home-Region of his father. They were good friends.
- Rime is a stickler for order. He would always clean his uniform after a fight and would disallow that he would appear without an correct appearence.
