Description Title: 'The High Demon'

True Name: Known only by those who served faithfully at his side. Kel is among the few who knows it.

Age: Unknown-professed dead since Ares release from the MoonPrison.

Race: Saur'el

Height:6'3

With horns: 6'4

Faction: Ares

Position: Self appointed general of a large fortress created during the final years in the MoonPrison.

Conviction:Extreme loyalist to Deamond in both ideals and cause. So devoted to the Arean nation that he had their symbol implimented into his wardrobe and apparel.

Weapons: Duel swords, the Assassins Iris, Caindread collars

The Assassins Iris: Is a passive ability the High Demon created to fend against assassination. The Iris allows the viewer to see the world in multiple directions at once, or simply watch their back. This ability saved his life multiple times, especially during the years spent in his fortress.

Main Weapon: Duel swords. The High Demon made quick work of those who opposed him by attacking with both weapons at once. In later years, he was reported using only one of swords, although both were seen worn at his side.
The reason for this was never officially recorded, though many statements suggest he may have been missing an arm.

Magic:The  Assassins Iris is the only recorded ability of the High Demon. It is easily surmised he knew additional magic, based on the fact that in his final hours, he granted Kel a human form.

Strengths:
-Inginuity. The High Demon alone came up with the idea for the Caindreads collars as a way to restrain them by turning their heat against them.  He also created the original pairs himself, which was remarkably dangerous as he needed to subdue additional Caindreads to create more. Despite his serious burns, he never asked his men to do this for him, until there were enough collars to easily overcome multiple Caindreads at once.

Personality: Composed and commanding, the High Demon could inspire alllies through his actions alone. He was a private indivual, often sticking to the facts as opposed to the feelings in any situation. He was gentle when able and tireless when opposed, and through it all he possesed an absolute faith in the Arean nation and its governing God.

History: It was the horrors of the MoonPrison that prompted the High Demons reign. Serving as a guard during this time, he was forced to face the starving people and listen to the cries of their familes as the rations grew few and foul. It was this aversion to their suffering that eventually spured him to action. Abandoning his post, he set out across Ares to uncover a sustainable food source, something that could provide souls, blood, and meat to the people.
It was in the Caindreads that he found this solution.

In the months that followed, he trailed them tirelessly, gaining followers and supporters along the way as he reported his findings to those who late became his men. The first attempt to restrain even a sickly Caindread ended in failure, earning him severe scars down his side and spine. It was the High Demons growing fear of their flames that eventually gave him the idea to use such a weapon against them. With all of his troops, they managed to slay a young Caindread who had barely bore its first fires. Before the beast could burn it's remains, the High Demon strung its talons, and with this new weapon they later subdued the sickly Caindread. The first of many to come.

The first captures were all put to death, as only the talons were needed to accrue more Caindreads. It was during this chain of success that the High Demon and his men began to work in the remains of a once proud tower. Here they began to fashion chambers for the captured Caindreads, as well as set up massive rooms for the extraction of souls, meat and blood, as well as cultivate ways to use the living Caindreads as guards and sentries throughout the fortress. People began to hear word of a miracle, and soon more men joined the High Demons cause in persuit of saving their families.

Once their numbers became strong, the High Demon and his men set out to capture the largest of the known Caindread packs. It was during this raid that the High Demon finally secured enough creatures to both fortify his fortress, and feed the people. While his men lead the strongest of the restrained Caindreads away, the High Demon watched as others escaped, a large dark black Caindread among them. As he watched them fade into the distance, a single white Caindread gazed back at him frozen, as it could neither bring itself to run from it's pack, nor fight for them as it bore no obvious strength. It was the intelligence of its golden gaze that prompted the High Demon to leave some old jerky for it, as a frail form of penance. During the journey home, the High Demon saw that Caindread many more times as it trailed them straight to the tower. As he passed the main gate, the High demon was startled to find the creature had followed him inside.
It was the first and only Caindread that ever entered the fortress willingly.

Years passed, and his operation grew. Many men died orchestrating the Caindreads, and even more Caindreads died as the people began to wax stronger. Meanwhile, the gold-eyed Caindread began to secure a place in the High Demons heart. It never questioned his orders, and in time it became nearmost loyal to him, trailing him needlessly and sleeping at his feet whenever able. Once it's flames began to ignite it was the first to be stationed outside the High Demons chambers, where it guarded him fiercly without need of force or restraint. Alghough it's brethern came to resent it, the youngster always seemed oblivious to the horrors at hand. And it brought the High Demon a precious sense of peace.

On a particularly dark grey evening, the fortress fell under its first attack, as a pack of shadows stole into it's chambers and killed all the people stationed there. Chaos erupted as many of the collared Caindreads broke free with their bretheren, as the assulting pack stormed the internal structers. This was the first time the High Demon encountered Seerus. While many of the captive Caindreads had long sense ceased speaking, Seerus spat at the High Demon and bore savagelydown upon him, screaming to end his life. The two clashed on equal grounds, the High demon whirling about with his swords, while Seerus sent torrents of flame upon him. The brawl ended with Seerus earning a heavy scar across his face, and the High demon cradling a ravaged arm. It was the intervention of the gold-eyed Caindread and the strongest tropps that finally forced Seerus and it's packs into retreat, at the cost of many captives and lives.

Things resumed in the years that followed, and times were nearmost calm up until the final days when Ares was remarkably released from the MoonPrison. The High Demon and his men rejoiced exceedingly, as all of Ares was finally free to flourish upon Zion and thrive once again. In a large act of retribution, many of the stalls that once containing the slain Caindreads were cleared, and hundreds recieved burials. Still others, the elderly and young were released from the fortress all together to live in the freed land. Those who remained stationed at the castle were used for trade and defense, as the Arean society attempted to re-assert itself upon its former home . It was during this spell of growing peace, that the fortress finally fell once and for all. Seerus and his pack had grown exceedingly strong, fuled by rage and those recently freed from their captivity. The opposing troops were slaughtered, as were the people who attempted to flee during the seige. The pack even attacked the Caindreads who froze at their stations, seeing them as traitors and corrupt against their own kind. In his final moments, the High Demon faught to free his men from the masaccre through hidden chambers, while the gold-eyed Caindread faught fiercely at his side.

Before Seerus could end them, the High Demon called the gold one to him, and spoke with him in humility. He shared heavily, the sorrow in his heart and conviction in his cause, to save the only one among the Caindreads who would ever call him friend. With a shaking hand, he sealed his symbol across the creatures collar, blinding the beast in a sea of light as it collapsed to the ground, saved in the guise of a man. The High Demon concealed his form with the heavy folds of his cape, before limping from the room to face Seerus head on.

The High Demon was never seen again.

Cause of Death:b>
