Description
Or, in the Shadow language, Jüð(pronounced as /jʊ̈ð/). This is my conworld. To put it mildly, it's kinda like SCP and kinda like the Witcher, but kinda like JoJo. And, of course, this is where my JoJo AU takes place.I painted the continents green because we Earthlings are used to that, but on Jüð, the plants are not mostly green like on Earth; they're mostly of very different colors; even grass is not only green, but also quite often red, yellow, orange, and turquoise; and in the Dead Forest, it's grey. This planet is a little bid bigger than Earth, but it's less dense, which makes the gravity about 90% the gravity of Earth - or 8.87m/s², same as on Venus and Uranus, meaning if you weigh 60 kg or 120 lbs on Earth, you'll weigh about 54 kg or 108 lbs there.
Its star is called Thehtoo(Þety in Tsona Keiukainian, Setu in Common Speech). Thehtoo is smaller than our Sun, and it's most likely an orange dwarf. The first planet of the Thehtoo system is tidally locked to its star(which means only one side of it faces the star) but at the moment of typing all this, I didn't come up with the name yet. I didn't come up with the other planets either, so, well, then there's Yoodh. Yood's moon is called Irazhnis(Iražnis in Keiukainian, Ighazhnis in Florian, Iraznis in Common Speech). It's yellow, and, due to the pareidolia caused by the relief, looks kinda these emojis 🌝🌛 but kinda like a creepy smiley face too. During the full moon, weird phantasmagorical things happen under Thehtoo's reflected light for a mysterious reason, - such as candles talking, your nose being lost and becoming a person like in that "Nose" story by Gogol, and so on. Also, during an eclipse, Irazhnis looks more like this 🌚, and, being under it for more than two minutes, it can cause you to uncontrollably r*pe the first person you see, or, if you don't see any, just masturbate, - until the eclipse stops, up to dying of exhaustion. Basically, Yuthians(or how should I call them? 🤔) can't even trust their moon.
For another mysterious reason, all the shadow people are marked with their right(or left, in case of the left-handed ones) eye being black including the eyeball, with the white pupil, and the iris going white when they take their shadow form. In Cheoaeiea, some of them wear eye patches and pretend to just be one-eyed because humans are prejudiced against them. Of course, just like on Earth, shadows are a minority. Shadow language is another mystery; you can look up my Conworkshop page for detailed information, but basically, its origin is uknown, yet it's pretty similar to the Amthi language(but not as melodical) and all the shadows automatically grow up at least bilingual; it's also the language of sorcery and alchemy. Yuth is overall a very paranormal planet; even more paranormal than Ohio - kinda like Indonesia; if you live there, chances are you have met a ghost, so, if we worry mostly about climate change and humans generally beings jerks, they have to worry about humans beings jerks, cyclopes, rakshasas and insectoids also being jerks but lesser ones, and the paranormal. And Irazhnis.
The closer to the Dead Forest, and the closer to the 31 of October, the more paranormal it gets. The day when the edge between the material and the spiritual is the thickest is the 1 of May, when they also celebrate New Year - beside humans who celebrate it on the 1st of January just like on Earth. Speaking of years, the year on Yuth is just one day longer than on Earth.
