Days had passed and Shaya was finally back in her dorm room. She didn't remember coming back to her room that day. But now, she rested comfortably seated up in her bed, a pup in either arm. Her son and daughter. What more could she ask for. They were healthy and strong.

Her son with his tiny flicking wolf ears and short mop of black hair, like her father, with a blonde streak over his eyes, was beyond precious. And that first time when he stared at her with the glowing red eyes of her heritage, she knew she was forever lost to him.

And her daughter, the little spit fire she was, was already taking after her Auntie Helena as she constantly tried to gnaw on her brother's eyes. But she looked a lot like her Auntie Luna with black tipped white hair, her tiny ears as she listened to everything around her. And those eyes, one red and one violet, were definitely both her father and mother.

“Shaya?” Cain knocked on the main door of their dorm room before he enter.

“Yes,” she smiled, looking up from her pup's faces.

Rayven, who had been asleep on the foot of her bed in his wolf's form, growled momentarily as he lifted his head until he realized who was there.

“It's all right, son, it's just me,” Cain assured him.

Even Squeaks the shadow wolf and Noir, Shaya's most powerful shadow familiar, were out, protectively guarding the new mother in Cain's absence. Their glowing watches met Cain's eyes, challenging him until he assured them everything was safe. Then they too settled back down, guarding the young draculina and her pups.

“I've brought a guest,” Cain moved out of the way to allow the shorter blonde Djinn to enter.

“Professor Jasper, you came,” she smiled.

Other than her sister, Helena, Cain had kept everyone else away so that Shaya could rest. But both she and Cain had agreed that the first visitor they wanted was Jasper. There was a surprise they wanted to reveal to him first, before the rumors started milling around the school

Not even Helena knew yet what this announcement was.

"You look well," noted the djinn as he sidestepped around Cain towards the bed. What he meant was that she looked better than she had been in his classroom - as alive as a vampire could seem, really. Now that the Linguistics Department was no longer a scene from Grey's Anatomy, Jasper was pleased to see that his pupil was recovering at a good rate and that both of her children were healthy. He still did not like children - this experience may have solidified it in some ways - but their warmth clearly filled Shaya's heart and Jasper could not take that away from her.
Jasper had to be careful not to step on any canine limbs as he neared the bed, being sure to keep his hands to himself. "And well guarded, I see." It looked like a dog kennel in here, and if it were not for the babies in Shaya's arms it certainly would smell like it too. The professor nodded to Rayven, who looked much more in shape now, before approaching the bed. "Cain mentioned you both wanted to see me." He did not ask how the children were. He could see for himself that was not necessary. The twins would be spoiled.

Rayven's tail wagged as he watched Jasper walk past. Then with a great yawn, he went back to his rest.

Shaya laughed and smiled up at Jasper. “Thank you, I'm still tired but feel a lot better,” she spoke softly, blushing at the memories still of what she recalled that day. Unfortunate to say, she really didn't remember much after her water initially broke. Though she was sure this was an experience that Jasper would never forget. “Actually yes, a couple of things. After some talking with Cain, I've decided I'm going to enter the Otherworlde Tournament, instead of classes during the summer.”

Jasper's eyes narrowed. "Miss Shaya, I do not think that is wise. You just had two babies."
Jasper had been a spectator for the tournament last year. He had even provided Kichi with some stepping stones to assist him towards victory. Jasper was all too familiar with the chaos and bloodshed that was the Otherworlde Tournament. People died in these fights, and if they did not then many times they come quite close. It was not that he did not believe in Shaya's abilities - in fact, she would likely slaughter the field.
Even so, he cast a glance at Cain.

Defensively, Cain put his hands up, “Hey, trust me, I'm not exactly thrilled by this. I've gone a round and round on this with her.” Then sighing in defeat, he lowered his hands again. “Let's say she won.”

“Hey, I am sitting here you two,” Shaya glared from one to the other.

Sheepishly, Cain laughed, scratching the back of his head. “Honestly, Professor, Shaya is a Draculea after all. She was spoon fed violence and blood shed since birth. Trained since the cradle to be a fighter and take lives.” Touching Shaya's cheek lightly, he smiled at her with admiration. “But if anyone can do this, it'll be her.”

Joy filed her eyes. Even though her mate did not like the idea of the mother of his pups competing in something that has been known to take the lives of students, he still had confidence in her. He supported her.

And Shaya knew that Jasper did not object because he did not think she could do it, he in his own was worried about her.

“Either way,” she continued. “We wanted to give you some news. We've decided somethings with the pups, most importantly their names. And we wanted you to be the first to know since you brought them into this world.”

"In that case then we must prepare you for it," sighed the professor with a brush of his hands decisively. "I suppose we have some work to do... including you, Mister 'Dad'."
Then Jasper blinked. "Oh? Is that so? Alright, then, let me hear it." Admittedly Jasper was a curious creature, and the pups' names were no exception. His eyes lit up while he waited for the reveal.

Cain's ears perked up at that statement. “What? Huh, me? How?”

But Shaya ignored his confusion and continued on. She was too excited to hold it in any longer. “Well, we want to know if you'll be their god parent, and don't worry, it's title only,” she giggled, knowing that Jasper really wasn't a kid person. “And as such, I'd like to introduce our son, Jasper, and our daughter, Kelsey.”

At first all Jasper could do was blink. Then, slowly, what Shaya said began to sink in. It was clear that he was processing it by the gradual sinking of his eyebrows in confusion. To say Jasper entered shock was appropriate. His blue eyes passed from Shaya, to Cain, to 'Jasper' and 'Kelsey'.
Then the panic set in. "Forgive me, what?"

The look on his face was priceless, and Shaya couldn't stifle her giggle quick enough. “Professor, you brought these two little ones into the world, it only seemed fitting that we named them after you. Jasper and Kelsey, and we'd like to make you their godparent. Title only though.”

Jasper snipped a response at Shaya. "Yes, yes, I heard what you said!"

Jasper and Kelsey, vaewolf pups of his students. Now that would be a handful.
