Point 2 of the final notes is the reason why drawing some characters ends me up with a permanent wrinkle between my eyebrows.
Helpful stuff. Especially for taking the angle of "pay attention to this" and not "do this".

After seeing this, I've realized just how cookie-cutter the expressions I draw are. OTL I'm going to be looking at this a lot, I think.

Pfff...the part about making the face while you draw it makes me giggle. I do that, but not on purpose. It's just sort of a reflex. I've done it since I was little. Aaand I'll probably do it till the day I die. I get lots of flack for it in the studio at school.

I LOVE THIS!
I think this has been ridiculously helpful, not because I couldn't get the basic elements of the expression if I wanted to make them, but I think this has helped... string them all together?

Thank you thank you thank you a million seven trillion times thank you! I *love* this whole series. I've been trying to figure out what's wrong with my comic and the whole problem is that the characters aren't comicky enough (if that makes sense). I keep forgetting that it's ok to stylize and exaggerate them and still make them believable.
