The cold wind blew warm on my face
wrapping me in it's sweet embrace
holding me safe from happiness' tears
this relentless society letting go
it's grip upon reality slipping slow
caught ini a moment lasting only a second
long enough to miss it a second later
when all hope is gone
i'll have some left
as long as the earth is soft beneath my feet
i won't fear anything of course
because i'm wrapped in an oxymoron.
