thought i would do a bit of a cool down piece and draw some fanart of one of my personal fave game series, the Jumping Flash! games on PS1

i was always super intrigued in this after seeing it both mentioned in the 2008 Guinness World Records Gamer's Edition as one of the first 3D platformers, and a review done by the Completionist on it, and a couple years back, i finally got the chance to buy both the first and second games on the Playstation Store, and god, i could not tell you how many times i've played through it lol

considering the fact it came out in 1995 as a launch title for the Playstation, it holds up REALLY well, the controls still feel good and fun to play around with, the first person view still works well imo, the graphics have a chunky, abstract charm, and the soundtrack and sound design is really nice and jaunty, i just think both 1 and 2 are still a couple of the most charming games out there, and [don't hate me for this lol] i personally think they're more fun than Mario 64; like i like Mario 64, i just think in terms of early 3D platformers, including Jumping Flash!, there's better options to go back to nowadays

but yea, either way, highly recommend looking into the series, they're still immensely fun, charming games, and that series is one i still wish Sony would somehow go back to and do something new with lol
