45 minute exposure. Haha! The moving stars are actually the earth spinning.

45 minutes of exposition and the rock isn't overlighted? That's interesting
Anyway, the startrails are perfect! I wonder if someday I'll have so much patience to take picture like this

These rotation photographs are honestly some of my favorites out there. This is a great example, I just love the length of the star paths, and the natural geometry of that big rock. for sure [:

Night photography intrigues me. I love the composition and star trails. The image is sharp, and very well done. Great photo! ^^

45 minutes and 7 seconds of exposition - how do you make this concrete block/rock "properly" lightened? it was so dark there or you darkened it in postproduction?

As you can see, I also had an aperture of f/9 and the iso was just 200.
I actually just had to take a chance and use those values. Also, I had two cameras with me, so I just left this one to take 2 pictures of 45 min and walked around taking pictures meanwhile. I checked the first picture before adjusting the values to become even better.

technically a perfect photo, and the perspective on the rock is great, but i miss something in the foreground, that makes it a bit boring for me, but thatΒ΄s really only my opinion...

I agree with you, this was my first attempt at an exposure this long, and it isn't really "fail and set up another place" haha! It takes time ^^ I will do more though!
