The NYC and PRR were rivals back than but in 1968( the same year Hot Wheels were introduced) They would merge to create a rail company called Penn Central But it was a disaster went bankrupt and got replaced by a more successful company called Conrail.
The Pear and Apple Families had a feud but When Bright Mac and Pear Butter were married the 2 families were 1 family.
