So this might be surprising for some of you, but for some not so much. I have said in the past that BEL1 was a Steam-Diesel hybrid converted into a full Diesel, so it makes sense that all the engines based on his design would be Diesel’s as well.
As for the B-unit. I was inspired by AmtrakGuy365’s new video about B-units and railroads making their A-units into B-units and that's what inspired the piece of content you see in this screenshot.
