Description AU of a Code: Lyoko-type story using the Quantic Kids concept. For the record, I drew this before I drew the other one. I just really hate doing backgrounds.

But this was mostly me goofing off because of the working title for a concept of both Miraculous and of Code: Lyoko. Quantic Kids and Garage Kids. Beginning to wonder if this is "Standard Working Title Format A" for French cartoons. I have no one to blame but myself for marathoning Code Lyoko and Miraculous as a means of practicing my French listening skills while still avoiding homework.

Characterization here would probably be largely based on my own headcanons around the PV combined with the Quantic Squad series by A-Giant-Fan on fanfiction.net:

It's great fun, though it contains some minor typos and grammatical errors. It does a hilarious job lampshading many superhero tropes, and has wonderful characterization. And Adrien is still Chat Noir, if that helps.

But there's my explanation for why I might occasionally use names that don't fit with what they might have been called according to the majority of headcanons. And here's my explanation for the roles, since obviously personality will vary from the Code Lyoko characters.

Felix in Jeremie's felt obvious. Both appear to be the smart guy with rather obviously lacking social skills (so it's easier to talk to Bridgette, who he thinks is an AI, although he still wouldn't be as "suave" as Jeremie in XANA Awakens) Also, I felt that in the PV Felix visibly struggles against M. Pigeon's birds, compared to Ladybug who can trade blows with the Mime. And considering the "curse" aspect (though is there actually a curse tied in or does he just view it as a curse? I thought it was the first, but I've heard people talk like it's the latter) I figured this gives a reason why he stays at the computer instead of being virtualized.

Bridgette as Aelita also felt obvious. Because first, she seemed like a quirky person in the PV, and because she's quite competent, which I thought would compare to Aelita's creative maneuvering out of situations prior to getting her energy fields. Her being the "AI" made sense because since Felix was attracted to Ladybug, it made sense that the first encounter in this universe should be with her virtual form. Also, Aelita was probably the main character, considering her growth through the series, so obviously, that should go to Bridgette. I'm still playing around with how I'll do the mask, if it will be a pop-down visor or something that's there all the time. (Also, would I have her really be an AI here, or a human who's lost some memories like Aelita turned out to be?)

Lyra/Melodie as Yumi was another obvious one. (Using QS names here) In Quantic Squad, she's seriously BA, and probably would have been in Quantic Kids considering her design. Also, in QS, she kind of acts as the "Team Mom," which is similar to Yumi's role. And, of course, being the only other girl on the squad...I have her slouched over in this largely because I needed to fit her in without obscuring AI Bridgette.

Victor/Mercury as Ulrich, not that shipping has to apply here if it isn't desired. But of course, Mercury implies speed and Ulrich has Supersprint. Although I personally think Mercury is a much friendlier person than Ulrich, and probably less prone to petty jealousy (not to bash Ulrich, of course, but that is something that goes ignored by his more ardent fans)

Claude/Benjamin/Kid Mime going in Odd's role is also more of a role thing. Since he tends to be seen as more emotionally expressive compared to the others, and has the most unusual power set. I haven't decided if he would be mute like Benjamin, or speaking like Claude, and to what degree they would overlap if I mixed them. (Also, in QS, Benjamin is the most extroverted of the team, since it's explicitly stated that he doesn't like being alone, while Odd is the only extroverted member of the Lyoko Warriors, so...)
