Thats not too bad for a first shot at guys. Personally I find them utterhell. Its interesting how he looks like hes laying down. Your chin is a bit low, but I think the picture overal is pretty well done.

Hints for eyes is, if you look at people the circle of their inner eye only just touches the bottom while the top is covered by the eyelid. The more you cover with the upper eyelid the tireder or sarcastic/bored the person looks.

One thing that bothers me about the pic is the nose. It looks like its been squashed on his face. Its quite skinny and the nostrals look too large. If thats the effect you are going for its good, but other wise a bit weird.

Also a person eyes are exactly center to their face. The distance from the eyes to chin is the same as from the eyes to the middle of the head (in hair) Technially when you look at a person face on thats what you can see. This would explain why yours looks like its laying down.

Its a nice piece and I enjoyed looking at your many sketches. Keep scribbling. ^_^
