Description
We have been getting reports of a giant bat monster terrorizing the skies of Gotham and leaving a body count of people on the streets.

So of the kingdom’s citizens accuses the caped savior as the culprit thinking that he was only playing their hero. I have worked on many cases with my partner to know that these were baseless accusations.

My partner assured me that we will find this monster and stop its monstrous reign of terror.

After doing some research and surveillance, we’ve pinpointed the monster’s lair to a laboratory owned by an alchemist named Kircus Langstreim. We arrived at the laboratory and knocked on the door demanding entry.

There was no response, so we forced our way in. When we entered the laboratory, we discovered that Kircus has been doing some experiments with different animals, namely different species of bats.

As we searched the lab, Kircus revealed himself from behind the a curtain. We questioned him as to where the monster was hiding.

He laughed at the question and thought we were noting but court jesters playing knights. I was at the end of my patience and demanded he answered the question.

He went on to explain that his experiment was to become a harbinger of fear like my partner. He then took out an object resembling a wand.

After he spoke some incantation, his body began to morph into the bat monster. The vile beast then took out two knights as if they were rag sack dummies and broke through the roof into the night sky.

My partner, using his magical sword, grew wings out of shadow and gave chase to the beast. I rushed out side and saw the fight between the caped savior and the bat monster. It was a brutal clash but I steeled my nerves and watched. I then ordered a knight to fetch me a bow and arrow.

My partner was struggling against the monster’s strength; from where I stood I feared that it was the end the caped savior.

When the knight gave me a bow and arrow, I calmed my quivering hands and shot the arrow towards the beast. It flew straight and true into the back of the beast’s side. My partner then was able to grab it and plummet themselves into the ground.

The impact was strong enough to nearly knock me on my rear. We quickly made our way to the crash site. Kircus was already back in his human form and it was then easy to take him into custody to be locked up in Arkham.

His mysterious wand was then taken into custody and was later locked up in our weapons vault, hopefully that will be the last time we will deal with monsters for the night.

Weapon ability: Chiroptera biology-allows the wielder to transform themselves into different species of bats and acquire abilities from each species. (The wand must cipher a bat’s essence to acquire said bat species’ abilities.)
