Back when I tried out a design class for my first year of college I was nervous about showing my art in front of people, often times my mind would go blank and for each subject I would use a cat as my theme, I've always loved cats so they are what my mind would always drift to when I couldn't think of anything but after awhile my classmates started to make fun of me with each time my turn came to present my work it would just be a joke session with the instructor laughing along with them(you think people are supposed to be above that when they get to college...they aren't)

It wasn't until one of our final projects, which was a painting challenge, that I forced myself to find a different subject. For this challenge we had to choose a color and theme our paintings around different shades of it so I picked my favorite color, green, and painted a simple scene with the first thing that comes to mind when you think of the color green, Forests and Frogs.

With my confidence and enjoyment of Art all but gone I presented my painting which was met with nothing but "Wow it's not a cat this time XD" "Ha, so he can do something besides drawing cats" "It's probably just a cat dressed as a frog XD" <-- that was supposed to be their "Critique"..........I hated that class

I went a few years where I would try to Draw little things here and there but I could never really feel it and it wasn't until MLP premiered that I really felt inspired to Draw again, say what you want about the fandom but I will always be grateful for that.

That turned out to be a way longer rant than I intended, I really just wanted to say that this is the first time I've done a real Frog piece since that class.
