Description

To try and get back into drawing my main OC's, I decided to do some sketches of Lucas for an animated project I'm working on. In case you were wondering about the rubber on the bottom right hand corner, it's covering up both the copyright notice and my name. In the UK, copyright is automatic, so officially, Lucas Hill has been under copyright since March 31st 2007. Lucas has undergone numerous design changes over the years. More importantly, it's to help with proportions to try and imagine how a character who is five foot six in height would look on paper. In the new year, my goal is to improve my art style and to start with poses. I hope to get a Faber-Castell Manga starter set at some point in the new year as well as some new colouring pencils, thereby splitting my art equipment into two (Markers for 1-2 character pieces, colouring pencils for pieces with more than two characters). At the moment I'm on a sewing hiatus as I cannot find the skin tone felt I want; that and one site I looked at for sequins, Josy Rose, has gone offline, putting a spanner in the works to the 24 Tributes Sewing Project as I planned to use the Antique Gold, Antique Silver and Electric Blue sequins in the project. Meaning, a new target date for project completion needs to be thought about. Sorry about the quality, but it's hard to take photos at night.
