Lara held up her hand in a gesture signalling that she would wait.

"Answers first."

Yen sighed.
"As you wish."
"You see, our arrival here was not entirely accidental. We discovered a way to track Chaos energies and found that your world was incredibly rich with them."
"What's more, hardly anyone seemed to utilize it. So we decided it would make a perfect testing ground for study and developing new forms of magic."
"Your present diminished state is the result of one such experiment. One our allies here were greatly interested in."

As Yen finished her exposition, Lara was thinking of the implications.
Magic. Chaos. Allies.

"Alright, but I would guess your experiments drew attention? For better or for worse."

"You are correct", Yen retorted. "As the days passed, we started noticing an increase in activity around us. We were then approached by some rather unsavoury characters, looking to take advantage of what we had found and developed for their own good."
"And how does Wayne Industries figure into this? I am assuming they're the allies you are referring to.", Lara mused as she shifted.

"Indeed they are. And one of them should be walking through the door at any minute."

"You said they would be interested in this shrinking spell. Although I understand the appeal, this does not really strike me as ethical."

Yen burst out laughing at this remark.
"Neither is burglary and attempted theft, yet here we are."
"But I believe they will offer you a way out. A collaboration."
