Bvrble and Crackle, c4d.

The elementaloids are pure element, created by some mad scientist/alchemist. They are genderless, although I do occasionally refer to them individually as "he", because "it" can be awkward. They do need to eat for energy, although they don't need particular nutrients, so they can eat anything. All of them stand about 3-3.5 inches tall. They are, in order of creation:

"Plod "- not technically pure element, as he's really closer to a homunculus, Plod is pure earth element mixed with some lichenlike organisms. Originally defined as a failure, Plod was to be replaced with a pure earth elementaloid, but the new one's character was a bit too stony (it was a rock). By the time a third attempt was to be made, Plod had backup to prevent anyone messing with him in the form of the other three, and was also fairly good friends with the scientist. Plod is the only elementaloid that does not come in floating pieces.

Plod is a bit dim, if very curious. He's fairly slow-moving, and his powers include making minor earthquakes and making plants grow. He can't disappear like some of the others, but he's fairly good at looking like a pebble when he sets his mind to it. The X marks the spot for tickles. Plod is very slow to anger, and quick to forgive. His favourite foods include baked goods, leaves, and the occasional turd, but any organic thing will do. Gets along with all the others.

"Burble "- (initially named Bob, named changed for the purposes of gender neutrality) Although the bubbles that make up his body are pure element, they needed a forcefield to keep them distinct- so Burble is actually held together by surface tension. He can't touch water without dissolving into it. However, once he does that, he can control the entire mass of the water. He needs to Crackle or Plod to help him by boiling or absorbing away the water to get whatever part was dissolved back, though.

Burble is excitable, generally cheery, but a bit temperamental. He likes playing cute. He also enjoys drinking bubble tea. The bubbles float around inside his middle while he digests them.

"Crackle "- Trouble. Not so much evil as mischievous, Crackle can make major problems with his powers. Crackle is surprisingly enough best friends with Burble, because they keep each other's power in check. Annoys the heck out of Drift because of a habit of burning Drift's body. Crackle eats anything flammable, and loves to chomp on cinnamon sticks, which are sometimes shared with Plod. Crackle can be put out but will never run out of fuel (don't ask me how). Turns blue when angered.

"Drift "- The last and most difficult to make, because it's difficult to isolate air element, only Drift's head is actually element. His body is a piece of paper. He can move light objects by blowing them in individual winds, so that's how he holds his own body up. He has no real attachment to the paper, so he'll change it depending on season. Drift can drop his body and travel as nothing but his head if needed. He can also make said head disappear.

Drift is the least happy-go-lucky of the lot, although that isn't saying much. He's the most thoughtful, too. He is generally pretty peaceful, and likes to read. Drift also takes his nutrition and energy from the air around him, so unlike the others, he doesn't eat.
