i tried the gloss with using the lightest white pink i could but for some reason it just didnt come off right.. also i forgot but the material of the shoe actually has a a tight wrinkle texture to it.

looks pretty good, few things to consider:

gloss is created by using extreme highlights, use a super light pink/white to make heavy opaque highlights where the light hits

avoid using true black, go just a shade above into grey, the use of true black gives a flat look to the image

change the dark lines to a purple that is barely darker than the pink subtlty is key when drawing from life

i just found this scrapbook thing, so if you uploaded this a while ago i just found out since scrapbooks dont show up as updates (pretty cool imo something we can use to do crits and post scribbles and studies and wips etc.) just send a note when you put stuff in here so i know to check it out and give some feedback

all in all the shoe looks pretty good

i got this nifty program that lets me stream my screen online if you ever want to do some digital meet ups we can pop on skype and i can stream...you know use the internet to do things we cant do like we used too, that is if you want of course, i think it'd be pretty cool we could do still life sessions and stuff(though drawing still lifes from life is better we could do practice with the same photo, and me streaming with you following along) i dunno just brain storming
