Have you thought about selling your stuff?

I can't really think of a cost effective way to distribute music, so I just let people DL it usually.

ok. i love it. Do you have any more music?

To date I've released 12 albums, though currently only 4 up on my website, plus this one makes 5. Just go to [link] and click to the "Music & Album Design" section, that's where you can get the other 4.

Wow! I already loved your pics for the kid Max. This release convinces me that you are a truly _good_ person! I'd love to be able to tell you about my compliments, but I can't do that using words

My favorites are: Ending, Phrase Of Aya and Terra's Theme.

smash - always amazing man! I really think your album art is PERFECT for the CD, as always I think that's a definite highlight of your works even though it may seem like a small detail....As for the songs I like, I enjoy -
1,2,3, 13 - fun and just upbeat
Half life tracks - I listened to a few in there, and I just LOVED your remixed versions of these songs. I would prefer your version to some of the ingame equivalents

One thing I really thought you out did yourself on this album was piano presence. It was amazing, and helped give the album that extra touch it needed. Thanks for your awesome work, and keep it up Dan!

smashmethod In reply to Amplitude [2005-07-15 03:58:02 +0000 UTC]

Thanks for the feedback. I like adding the pianos to things since that's what I usally write with when I do my original songs. Something about chunky breakbeats and pianos gets me ever time.

Dude... Terras theme is awesome, i have heard many remixes of that song and love them but this was amazing and so was Solaris, those are both from FF games right? could you mark which ones are FF songs cuz i LOVE FF music remixes. hell, i just love FF, the whole CD is good, really good, you impress me with all of your work, damn...

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

smashmethod In reply to Maxim-Lucille [2005-07-13 23:14:18 +0000 UTC]

The ID3 tags say which songs are from what games. Solaris is actually from Xenogears. I think the only FF ones on there are Terra's Theme and Matoya's Cave.

Thank you for commenting.

is there a way u could sell/give your cds so we can have the cd with the cool art u do for them.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

smashmethod In reply to TrickyPhotoGuy21 [2005-07-14 02:29:15 +0000 UTC]

I was thinking of selling a print with all the artwork on it, in poper dimensions, so people could buy the print (at a lowered cost), and just cut it up to make the art themselves. As that'd get you the art, and get me a little profit on the music, as I don't sell the music itself. There'd still be the issue of the CD Label itself though.

Unimatsuriku In reply to ??? [2005-07-13 14:05:05 +0000 UTC]

One day I need to go back through your gallery, grab the album art for each of these and propperly print the stuff out onto propper paper for jewel cases and stuff.

Anyways, downloading now. I'll comment again when I have it to tell you how much I loved it

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

smashmethod In reply to Unimatsuriku [2005-07-13 23:23:49 +0000 UTC]

I wouldn't print off anything from those poor jpeg samples. I'll try and make up a pdf of all the 300 dpi covers, so people can print them correctly. Or maybe even a print, like 18x24, with all the labels on em, so you can get the print, and cut it up to make the labels. That way, all the people who are like "I'd buy it if you sold it" can just buy the print for the labels, and then I'd make a little profit without infringing on music copyrights.

Thanks a million for the comment.

Sounds good, but can you include the CD top's? I noticed they wern't with the CD covers and it'd make it that bit more special

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

smashmethod In reply to Unimatsuriku [2005-07-14 02:24:34 +0000 UTC]

Yeah I can. But ultimately you'd only be able to attach it to the cd is by printing from a label making program onto a sticky label.

You can get a cheap cd labeling system by Fellowes/Neato/Media face whatever it's called from Best Buy for a couple bucks too. They work on inkjets pretty well.

I've never played the game myself, but it's the name of a character from Final Fantasy 6. Though the earlier Final Fantasy games have different numbers for the japanese and english releases.

I would've said that one was actually my least fav, as all I really did was overlay a simple beat over the original, no real massive changes... but a couple people actually said it was the fav. No accounting for taste I guess. I'm just glad I decided to add it to the album, glad some people liked it.

i make maps for video games (i want to professionally)...

complexity doesnt always make my maps good. look at my stuff. my most "successful" one (all like 3 favs) is one of my simpliest and the one i spent ages on has none. same with my maps, my most successful one is crazy simple and it gets a lot of attention. (though i have another one that im working on that is VEYR fun in early tests. more complex too)
