Love you covers. I was just wondering, its kind of obvious to me that you use a 3d model for the stack of cds, just curious what you used to model it. (and if possible.. umm... can i get a hold of it?)

i dl'ed your stuff a while back... like june or july... i forgot to say something! it was really nice and relaxing. my favorites were, of course, the songs i knew already, but i also learned to love a few more of them. kudos, and good songwriting/adapting.

A good listen, nice job.
I listened to this in a hospital bed, so it may have altered my perception somewhat, but I liked "Outset Island (smashmethod's Flunky Funk)" a lot.
Perhaps it was because I knew the song, too.

Ah cool. Another bunch of tunes. So in the meantime, I'll banter about the case design.
It has brought up some fond memories of Mario Bros 2 that has. Especially with the logs in the waterfall. How I disliked them so.
Keep up the good work on your music.

I've now listened to all three of the albums, and interestingly while this album doesn't have a single song that I could pick out as a favourite like the other albums, I think this is my favourite of the three.
Congratulations on another fine piece of work!

These tracks bring back happy gaming memories. Very good mixes and a nice cover. My favorite is Decadence of God (The Broken Blender one). Mushroom Kingdom is really nice too. Keep up the good work and a merry christmas to you!

i'm going to echo you, decadence is most excellent. so sufficient beat and quite appealing delicate instrumentals. (but thats true in so many of them, but that one particularly)
thanks smash!

Hello again, good sir,
There's nothing quite like looking at my devwatch page and seeing that you've submitted a new album. Let alone a Console Collective album. I'm on my way to download all 60 megs of this jewel. I don't know where I'd be if I missed out on one of these!
Also, whenever you submit a pack, I spend about 5 minutes looking at the artwork. I suppose you're not going to divulge how you appear to overlay images on the same set every time? A true mystery indeed... but still pretty sweet.
And as the download completes, it is my time to be off! Fare thee well, sir smash.

It's just a 3d scene, I swap out the textures.

barrydachoppa In reply to smashmethod [2005-12-23 05:09:04 +0000 UTC]
Regardless, your knowledge of doing that far surpasses mine. I take one look at 3DS Max and Maya and I swear the air around me gets colder from my impotence. I wouldn't know where to start with 1. making a texture, 2. making a scene, or 3. making it look cool.
This is a great pack, by the way, and brings back tons of fond memories. As always, your style remains one of the best I've heard.

I faved at first because I thought this was a real product and I loved the graphic design. Very nice use of the SMB2 style.
I'll look at the tunes when I get back home.
