Description Hello people, everyone has been asking for some form of tutorial, well here it is.

Superman:
1) E0000(Floral White) for the first layer of the skin. Then add in the shadows and tone with BV000(Iridescent Mauve) for the lightest, BV00(Mauve Shadow) for the mid-color, BV02(Prune) for the darkest shadow.

2) Then we go over the mauve colors with E00(Skin White) and E11(Barley Beige), E00 being the mid-skin tone, and E11 for the dark skin tone. This brings out saturation, and you also want to think about the light source. This is all in the matter of just blending, blending, blending to make it look smooth, you want to also be a little quick to blend with wet on wet marker ink while its still on the paper. If you want sometimes, I add in B60(Pale Blue Gray) in-between to even out the skin-tone and the shadows. Then, because of the light source I added enough of Y11(Pale Yellow) and Y21(Buttercup Yellow) on top of the skin colors, so we get that warmth feel. Make sure to BLEND.

3) For Superman has jet black hair, I used 110(Special Black) for the darkest dark, blend it in with the Cool Grays, I used C9, C7, C5, C3, C1, C0. This is a preference of your choice, you can either use the odd numbers or the even numbers. You pick and choose shadow shapes, and then add the hair lines

4) Superman has a primary color costume, for the red, I went light to dark(doesn't matter if you go dark to light) using R22(Light Prawn), R24(Prawn), R27(Cadmium Red), R29(Lipstick Red), R46(Strong Red), R37(Carmine), R59(Cardinal), and finally R89(Dark Red).

5) For the yellows Y11(Pale Yellow), Y21(Buttercup Yellow), YR23(Yellow Ochre), now to give yellow some depth with shadow, I used Warm Grays, mostly W1, W3, W5, and sometimes W7.

6) The blues I used B21(Baby Blue), B34(Manganese Blue), B95(Light Grayish Cobalt), B97(Night Blue), B99(Agate), and I used the 110(Special Black) to get those dark shadows across. I chose these blues, because of the sunset background I planned, these are all very warm blues. Remember BLEND BLEND BLEND.

7) The details and the texture of his suit, I used the Copic Sketch B97(Night Blue) and B99(Agate) and very carefully applied it. Take your time on that part.

Batman:

3) For Batman's cowl, cape, and bat symbol I used 110(Special Black) for the darkest dark, blend it in with the Cool Grays, I used C9, C7, C5, C3, C1, C0. This is a preference of your choice, you can either use the odd numbers or the even numbers. BLEND BLEND BLEND.

4) For his body armor, I went with Warm Grays, for two reasons, 1: I wanted a sunset like feel, so Warm Gray was the way to go and 2: I also read online or somewhere that his cowl is darker than his suit, and I felt it would have a nice contrast between the Warm and the Cool Grays. Anyways I used W0, W1, W3, W5, W7, W9, and 110(Special Black). Remember BLEND.

5) As for the Texture of the suit, again used a Copic Sketch W5 and W6.

Sunset & Bats:

1) I used E00(Skin White), E11(Barley Beige), E13(Light Suntan), YR65(Atoll) and YR16(Apricot) to give some subtle orange hue, E35(Chamois), E57(Light Walnut), E97(Deep Orange), E49(Dark Bark) for the mid to dark areas of the clouds.

2) For the bats, I used the Warm Grays again, W1, W3, W5, W7, W9, and 110(Special Black), because of the light source the bats would have that warm feel.

TIP: Let's say you're adding the yellow for warmth on the skin, if you feel like the yellow is overpowering everything, use the 0(Colorless Blender) to lighten it up, then go over it with either E0000(Floral White) or E00(Skin White), and then add on the yellow again, enough so that it appears subtle. Remember BLEND.

Hope this was somewhat helpful.
