Verdi's Anger task for OC-Training.

On a daily basis, Verdi is either vocal about their frustration, or gets back at people in a petty way, for example by salting their coffee. But when they reach a breaking point, they snap, lash out, plot revenge and burn anything in their way, even if it's creatures and things they love.

Verdi and Magenta have a strong but tumultous relationship. At some point when they are both under a lot of pressure and stretchen thin, Verdi feels continuously ignored, unheard, and abandoned by their partner.

They see a chance for making up when Magenta and their mimics (creatures that take form of any objects) take up a job at a natural history museum and ask Verdi for help making enchanted gems.

Magenta trains their mimics to pose as a skeleton of a triceratops. They also help the museum custodian become a living exhibit by entering cryosleep, supported by the magic gems commissioned from Verdi. Verdi does an excellent job in providing the foundation for the magic cryochamber. They also help the overworked Magenta out and keep bringing them food and making sure they take breaks.

It all changes when Verdi finds the design for the new leaflets advertisting the museum, where the cryochamber is to be unveiled, but Verdi's name goes uncredited. And that, after all the hard work and help they gave, breaks something inside Verdi. At night they remove one of the life-sustaining magic gems from the cryochamber. The gem of life, a source of energy, when added to a nonlethargic creature, gives them so much energy it becomes rage. And that's Verdi's plan - make Magenta's mimics attack the visitors and ruin their reputation. What could go wrong in this revenge for a heart full of pain and miscommunication?
