I understand competition, but I am seriously seeing some REAL hate on social media of Valor hating on Instinct or Mystic, Mystic hating on Valor and Instinct, and Instinct hating on Valor and Mystic. I love all the teams and treat others well. Today at a restaurant the cashier noticed my Valor necklace and told me she was Mystic and gave me a helpful hint that a Bulbasaur was around. Then when I was getting my order the cashier smiled and said kindly "Have fun catching pokemon!"
Why can't other people be like that?

because people want their teams to be the best(they want to be proud of them), and they think the best way to do this would be to diminish the other teams by throwing hate at them
nice people like that cashier are few and far between because many people have ego issues. well, like a crap ton.

yeah...you can't really do that unless you live next to a stop or something you'll have to get out eventually to get Pokeballs unless you buy them
or you live next to like 5 Pokestops/Gyms or in a neighborhood with a lot of people
i, unfortuately, live in a rural county and there's not many people
