Normally, Del would be ecstatic watching her father learn or practice magic. He made it look fun, and simple. However, this time Del watched with wary eyes as Koda gathered the charges around into a small ball.

It hadn’t been the first attempt by no means, if she could remember correctly she would have to say that this was the blue gro’s 6th attempt with little success, previous Balls dissipating into thin air before he was able to move it even an inch away from his palms.

Something that alarmed Del more was the fact that while it seemed with more attempts, the ball’s stability grew little, yes, but when it dissipated, the weak tickles of light static became more violent. Going from barely noticeable to a sharp sting that left her skin tingling for a few seconds.

The young gro frowned as Koda let out a frustrated shout and shook himself off before sitting down and trying once more. Del loved magic, but -at the moment- was more scared than fascinated by what her dad was trying to learn. Wisely, she took a few steps away, observing from a distance and crossing her paws for good luck.
