Thank you. I made an instalation at my college building, but instead of tiles in the walls I scatered biscuit sculptures of some of my characters as if they were exploring the building. I glued them with a lot of hot glue on the places, but aparently that didn't stop people to steal them. I kinda expected that to happen, that's why I used a cheap material on them such as biscuit, but expected the instalation to last a little longer, but the first sculptures I place were already been stolen as I glued the last ones :\
Here is a picture [link] that's how they were, these were at the bar... in fact, these weren't stolen because the bar owner wouldn't let anyone touch them XD but in the begining of this year they decided to reform the bar, so I think they were lost/destroied...

I also made another instalation gluing drawings of my characters driving cars in top view on the floor, but it was placed on a rush and at night, while the glue haven't dried yet, so the pictures are way too crappy, you can barelly see the drawings with the highlights of the wet glue.

There's been one mosaic street art piece nearly identical to this in my town for many years! It's very nice though.

This reminds me a lot of this bridge near my old college. I used to walk down this street towards the farmer's market, and every time I'd look across the river, I'd see 8-bit Samus from the original "Metroid" spray-painted on one section of the bridge.
Excellent work!

nah. as much as i wanted to i just couldnt. i remember i was a problem getting it to stick to the wall so i had to get my friend to back his car up and help push it against the wall until the glue set

If you have an issue with a DD feature, try contacting the person who featured it, instead of the artist who didn't ask for it.

There's this area of the city that I go to sometimes and their are Pacman ghosts all over the city. I think I saw the actually Pacman once but I don't remember. It's fun to go there and look for the ghosts. It's like a scavenger hunt. I only remember the locations of several.
I hope they wouldn't tear it down. I love random hidden art all around a city. It makes it more fun to live there.

This deserves more than just a two sentance DD explaination. = w=;
Nice job, loving the digital/Pixel look that you kept with it. How large were the tiles you used? And did you have a pixel design already for it, or did you just use the original design?

All it takes is a pop culture reference..

Barzona In reply to sneak3218 [2010-04-24 15:59:05 +0000 UTC]
To get a daily deviation. The main reason this was chosen is because it was a pop-culture reference. I'm not saying you did a bad job, but compared to other DD's it's not deserving of one.
Cool. A mosaic of a Super Mario mushroom. The photo could have been better, like, without that person in the way.
I can appreciate that you put it up in the street like that. Like a tag, right?
I think, maybe, if you added to it then I could appreciate it more.
