In Aethos, technology is coveted by the rich and frequently stolen by the poor (who have no idea what it is or how to use it). When an item runs out of ammo, or fuel, it is often assumed to be broken and is discarded. But every once in a while, a tinkerer will find abandoned tech and fix it up to working condition. Thus the cycle begins again.
