Description
Castoria is the least inhabited region of Hyrule. The only main center of population is Lurelin Village in the east. The region is mostly overgrown jungle, and stays very warm and humid from the Akkala Sea currents. The Castoria region, despite being sparsely inhabited now, has a lot of monuments from the past hidden in its crevices. The Deya lake is supposedly home to an ancient hero’s first quest, where he crept into a tree trunk on an island in the lake, which ended up housing a branching dungeon. He fought his way through it to defeat a dragon, earning himself a shard of the Triforce of Wisdom. The ruins in the north come from the era of Zona’i occupation of Hyrule, and it is thought the same for a similar group of ruins along the Deya River, however they could be remnants of the ancient Wind Tribe.
