Description
The Faron province sits in the south of Hyrule, and is one of the largest regions. It contains open grasslands in the north, and thick temperate forests in the south. The thickest and most confusing forest in Hyrule sits in this region across the Sea of Farosh: the Lost Woods. Old myths say that the ancient blade used by the heroes of legend slumbers deep within them, but nobody has ever come across it. On the eastern shore sits Hateno Village, a hilly coastal town with very nice beaches. Kokiri Town sits at the southern end of the region, and is rumored to be the location where forest spirits once congregated. You can visit the Old Faron Manor, a relic of the distant past, where refugees from the Hyrulean Civil War once stayed safe from battle. Records say it was later used as a worship site for an ancient sage.
