Description
The Lanayru Province sits at the western edge of Hyrule. While it has its share of mountains and plains, it is most famous for being a large wetland region. Most of the rivers in Hyrule originate from the Lanayru region. The high cliffs in the west cause this region to be rather lush and receive a lot of rainfall, turning the southern region into a prosperous woodland savannah, and the north into a surprisingly clear swamp. The largest export in the region is fish. The Zora people have made their home in Zora’s Domain, a city at the bottom of Lake Floria. Mt. Lanayru is the highest peak in the region, and used to be worshiped as a goddess who controlled the weather and brought fertility to the region. Many people would climb the mountain, either to appease the goddess, or to embark on a spiritual journey.
