Description
Introducing my two original characters, in my mind's presence since the late 1990's. Alexander Hunt, at right, is a red fox and in many aspects the main character, though he is at par in importance as Lauren Glass. Vicki Johnston, at left, is a white-tailed doe and Alex's girlfriend.

On a concrete pier facing the Chesapeake Bay, their noontime break from an investigation training exercise is cut short by urgent news calling from Vicki's cell phone. She is summoned by a CIA personnel coordinator to a briefing, and that she must go to her division's HQ immediately (not the actual CIA HQ, but one of its numerous branches). A mission is waiting for her.

They are both mine.
