Description Back to my OC’s now. Here we have Maggie, the speedy Standard 5.

Maggie was built at Derby Works by British Railways in March of 1952, and was sent to the island of Sodor for trials to assist with express duties, including a new service the Fat Controller and members of the mainlands railway board were seeking to implement; An express service that would run twice a day, beginning early in the morning at Barrow-in-Furness, stopping at Vicarstown, and then running nonstop all the way to Knapford, traveling the opposite direction at dusk.
The trial was successful, Maggie joined Sir Topham Hatts fleet, and the express service she ran, dubbed the “Vicarstown Comet,” was implemented.

Much like how Gordon takes great pride in pulling the “Wild Nor’ Wester,” Maggie takes equal pride and joy as the primary hauler of the “Vicarstown Comet.” She can be somewhat competitive with Sodor’s number four, but ultimately is just as close with him as the other express engines on Sodor. Even closer, some might say, as some have begun to suspect that Maggie secretly fancies Gordon, but only the flagship engine of the “Comet” herself can give a definitive answer.
