Chapter Nineteen: Mixed Up MadnessTadashi stood up in the living room. Yuki had called her father and he had come over. He seemed awkward. Which he should feel. Proto sat down in his normal way on the couch glaring at Tadashi. Ace had the other half of the couch and sat there glaring as well.
Yuki sat between Shiria and Kayato on the second couch. Tadashi shook his head trying to think what to say. Shiria and Kayato knew what was going on knowing why Both Ace and Proto were angry.
“Well…” Proto spoke.
“Have anything to tell us?” Ace asked.
“You do you mean? If anything he’s telling me something!” Proto snapped.
“You took the words right out of my mouth.” Ace snapped back smacking Proto’s side.
“Hey!” Proto yelled at him.
“Shut up both of you.” Tadashi ordered. They fell silent.
“Dad what’s going on?” Yuki asked.
“Yuki…” Tadashi sighed and kneeled over. He held her hand gently. Shiria looked over at the cat boys. They fumed. They both weren’t being treated equally and they obviously didn’t know anything about her, “Father’s been keeping a little secret.”
“What secret?” Yuki asked.
“Do you remember your older brother?” Tadashi asked.
“Kind of. He was blonde right? Like mom.” She thought hard in her memory.
“Yes.” He smiled. Ace sighed. He looked at Proto. He was dead when she was born no wonder she didn’t remember him.
“Well you had two brothers. And they’re here now.” He sighed.
“Two?”
“Hansuke is the oldest. Ryouya was the middle child. You’re my youngest child Yuki.” Tadashi explained.
Proto looked at Ace and Ace looked at Proto. Proto sat up and looked Ace up and down. He turned his head away.
“So those two are my brothers?” Yuki asked pointing to them. Ace gave a small smile and wave. Proto didn’t seem to happy.
“You’re free to speak now.” Tadashi lowered his order.
“Um...Hi.” Ace said.
“Hi.” Yuki walked over to them.
“Sit up Proto let her sit next to us.” Ace swatted him again. Proto stood up and walked past Tadashi.
“So when are you going to kill her?” He asked as he walked by.
“Proto!” Tadashi yelled.
“Leave me alone.” Proto continued down the hall.
“Hey don’t you even want to met our sister?” Ace yelled.
“No. I’ll be gone soon enough.” Proto growled.
“Proto.” Tadashi grabbed his arm.
“What about Airi? Huh? What about us Disowning us until now?” Proto yelled. He pulled away.
“Proto stop.” Tadashi ordered, “You’re going to behave and spend time with her.”
Proto’s eye twitched as his body forced him to go back to the couch. He growled at Tadashi. He wanted nothing to do with him or this girl.
“So we’re having a sleepover?” Ace asked.
“Yes.” Tadashi walked out the door.
“Proto if you need to we can get you back to your room.” Ace tried to reach for his hand. Smack.
“He may have told me to treat her well but I can still treat you like crap you liar.” Proto growled, “You knew.”
“I didn’t know about her.” Ace replied, “I only knew about you.”
Proto stood up with a grunt. He started to leave.
“Why are you so mad? Shouldn’t you be excited that you have siblings?” Yuki asked.
“Yeah Proto.” Kayato and Shiria butted in.
“Want to know something about that father of yours?” Proto snapped around, “He’s a cold blooded killer that killed my mother.”
“She’s not just your mother Proto! And don’t be saying things like that to her!” Ace grew frustrated.
“Proto knock it off! You’re suppose to be getting along.” Shiria yelled at him.
“Who’s side are you on?” Proto snapped. He shouldn’t feel betrayed too much but this took it too far. He made his way back to his room and locked the door. He laid down when he started coughing some blood. He looked down at his hand and gave a small grin. He wiped it off on his face without care. He smelt the blood and let it in. He smelt a lot of blood over his time. He forgot about Airi’s scent long long ago. Her voice too. He probably would’ve forgotten her look if he didn’t keep a picture of her and him.
“Liar.” He whispered to himself. He sat up and looked at his pictures on his computer and put them in the recycle bin. He didn’t throw them away but just enough to not see them. It most likely because he knew he was going to die. He smiled at that thought.
If he was going to die he would smell his own blood like he did so long ago when he was a sick child locked in a brainwashing red room. Red. Blood. Passion. The crimson color that seems to haunt him. It took his life once to be reborn with it as his hair color. Then to see his so called mother die with a bullet to the head. All the bloody rose petals that splashed his face then. Then all his beatings, all his torture, all the battles that were never his. He lived all through that to be killed by a heart. His heart. Or some child called Ryouya. He may have given up on being a human. He may have felt emotions. He might have not.
What was this feeling? It was different. It felt good. It seemed to make him distant. He didn’t even pity himself as he remembered what all had happened to throughout his whole life. Or the parts he’s ever remembered. Who knew? He enjoyed his upside down world. It was a crooked world in black in white where red was never seen. That passionate color of many names and meanings. He put a hand over his left eye with a twisted grin.
The crooked world,
Of black and white,
Where the ups and downs are turned around,
Where the chest bored lies,
The cards fall,
And all burdens bury you.
The moon up high in the sky,,
With it’s twisted grin,
Shining,
It’s golden eyes,
Brightly,
Follows you through the night
Or is it day?
~It doesn’t matter either way~
The cat’s ears can hear,
Hear if you please,
The wild beast,
Awaits patiently,
Deep inside the buried cracks,
Where all feelings rot,
We’re all mad down.
Deep down.
The clock strikes twelve,
The purple dust,
The magic air,
With a crimson passion,
Crawls up you,
And Cheshire Cat,
Has caught you...
