Description
Out of all my ships I like is Iowa, Fletcher, North Carolina, Missouri, Enterprise, etc. the one that always stays close to my heart is the Arizona. The Arizona is a Pennsylvania class super dreadnought from WW1. She had seen some combat and would live through the war into the 1920s, where she was still in commission. In WW2, She would be sailing from New York down to San Pedro harbor (where the IOWA is stationed today) and would go under modernization. She would soon sail down to Hawaii in Pearl Harbor and join the pacific fleet. Sadly though, she was marooned in Pearl Harbor in battleship row and met her end violently when her ammo rack was blown to bits from a bomb, and with around 1,700 souls on board. She Rests In Peace today in what remains of Pearl Harbor with the Missouri stationed behind her. She will always be America’s battleship, and will always be a part of my heart. We love you Arizona, Rest In Peace.
