Hmmm...I shot & processed this some time ago now (about a year ago), but if I remember correctly this was a 3xp HDR done with CS2. I don't often do HDRs but when I do I try to make them look realistic - always via local adaptation. Then a little dodging (selective foreground & water) & burning (mostly clouds), subtle tweaks to the global contrast with curves and I typically add a little more saturation & throw on a high pass layer at the end for a little selective sharpening.
I do remember being fairly unhappy with the green tinges in the water that resulted from the auto HDR blending, but I was too lazy (& inexperienced) to do much about it before uploading it to the web.
In general I tend to spend about 20-30 minutes per photo in post, and from memory this was no exception. In any case, this is not heavily manipulated but is pretty much how it looked at the time (well, to me anyway).
