Excellent photo!!! You forced me to tilt my head to see if I could see it the way that you do.
I got lost for a minute trying to see if I could figure out what was between the boards.

Excellent photo!!! You forced me to tilt my head just so I could see if I could see it the way you do.
I was lost for a few seconds trying to figure out what was between the boards,
just like when I was a kid.

Initially I thought the planks were fields almost alien like with towers in the distance, and the angle gave the impression of flying over in a plane.

You are right, eyes can't get fixed on anything (for more than a minute).
My focus is torn between the sky on the left and the end of the wooden path. I'm really curious what it's like on the other end. There's also this 'spinning' effect, as if the world is turning.
As always, great job

it makes you dizzy allright.
nontopic i dont know if you noticed but if you tilt landscape horizon it looks like a hillside or smthg, yet if you tilt a waterhorizon it makes u feel uneased, like something is wrong? ive read that its because u can see tilted landhorizons in the nature but never a tilted waterhorizon and the brain is not used to see it so its going to rule it out. it also works the same if someone sees the ocean first time (specially grown up or older people)... the brain will be hard to convince

I like how your eyes are drawn towards the end of the dock but then you can't stop glancing back at the stunning detail of the wood slats close to you. Very brilliant I must say.

My first impression is that it's a beautiful photograph, with a dizzying point of view. For the most part I have to agree with you; the world seems to be turning, and you feel almost helpless. The only thing I have to say differently is that the eye does catch on a things, but they're all at different points in the picture. The wood grain that's in focus; the sort of ending to what at first seems to be a vanishing point; the sharpness of the clouds in the top corner.
Simply put, it's a gorgeous photograph. You're skill with the camera is amazing.

"your eye can't fix anything, will not be caught by anything"
You're right-- and I think it's for a couple of reasons: one, the camera is focused on the close stuff, so you want to look at the details. Two, all the lines point toward the same point, but there's nothing to look at, so it confuses your attention. The tilted horizon adds to that.
It's really disconcerting!

At first I thought I was looking at a city or building from far away, but a closer look changed everything. Very cool.

Its like when your eyes are lost in the horizon, when your thoughts are flying away. The peaceful feeling, the absolute, the nothing.
Great shot, interesting view.

You know, when sometimes it seems that there's no more turning back, that you have to face life and jump? That's what I think about your photo. Some kind of no-turning-back bridge that leads to somewhere unknown.

this one actually saddens me.
I know I see something completely out there, but
I see a place where a girl jumped off..

my favorite, a fantastic perspective, excellent colors, and a great sense of the great expanse of the ocean, even if it is only a lake. beatiful shot overall!

i like this image. it's so simple but the angle definitely makes it its own. and honestly, the first thing i thought of was a drunk person. drunk with alcohol or with happiness doesn't really matter. but when i saw this, it made me think of a person so satiated that they just collapsed with a grin on their face and this was their point of view. nothing is quite clear but that's okay. there's also a warmness to it as if that person who collapsed was just about to take a nap. heh. i don't know. i'm weird. but that's my impression and you asked for it. k bye.

incredibly good sense of depth. Colors are very nicely done. And great composition of the shot. It would not have been nearly as effective as it is if you had not tilted it and composed it in such a way! Wonderful, wonderful work.

Wunderbar.

like, your stretching to get to the end, but its so big and so far away that you will never get there.

Its pretty freaky but I woke up and got up this morning and the floor was on this angle...... not self induced but I may be able to comment when my head stabilises... maybe need a little more depth of field... not to the horizon tho..and agree with the border coment....spin spin spin..

There's a lonely familiarity to this fragment in time and space.
It feels like home, and regret.
Beautiful.

interesting choice of angle, some of the focus points bug me a little bit though, and I would really like to see the bottom right actually be in focus, but besides that awesome!

I must say, the perspective and angle are alluring. It's tilted as if someone's in mid-fall, though the colours seem too warm to imply that.
