Description
In 1975, Japan started airing a series called Himitsu Sentai Goranger, which led into a series which ultimately became known as Super Sentai. This series involved people dressing up in coordinated colored outfits and summoning Mecha (which were sometimes even considered Gods) to fight off evil villains (sorcerers, galactic conquerors, etc.) from taking over the planet.

In 1993, Haim Saban created a series using some content and a lot of stock footage from the 1992 16th Super Sentai series: Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger. This series became the Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers. America has since adapted every Super Sentai series since 1992.

This is the Ohranger Robo Vulcanhead from Choriki Sentai Ohranger (1995). This was later adapted into being the Zeo Megazord with Battle Helmet II from Power Rangers Zeo (1996).
