Trans Awareness Week just ended, but I wanted to make sure I got something out for it!

I'm transmasculine & neutral gender. I've been out as some form of trans for 10 years & on testosterone for almost 6 years. I will be getting my first surgery soon

Being trans has been a pretty big thing for me, I used to be incredibly anxious & depressed to the point where I literally could not speak to people. Since starting my transition, things have gotten a lot better, I'm a lot more confident & happier with my body & myself.
My fursona Blitz is designed to look as much like me as I can make him, it makes me happy to have him as a representation of myself, as I make my way though my transition. I haven't had top surgery yet so neither has he, but that's okay, I am still who I am.

This year especially has been pretty big for me & my relationship to the trans community.

I helped organize a pro-trans rally which ended up with over 1000 people in attendance. I've spoken about issues that I've faced as a transmasculine person over the radio & for an LGBTQ+ history archival website. I helped model some menstruation products, as it's something very rarely talked about for trans men & masculine folks but it's important that we are seen, because as much as these things are very difficult to deal with due to dysphoria, it's important to know you aren't alone. I gave several vocal submissions on government bills relating to trans & LGBTQ+ rights.

It's been a lot of hard work, but I am grateful to be able to do it & I love my community a lot. As hard as things have been for the trans community lately, things are getting better & I look forward to the future of the trans & greater LGBTQ+ community.
