Redstar is an ancestor of one of my main OCs, Emberstrike
She fell in love and was deceived by a fellow leader, Brittlestar
He took advantage of her and used her to rid of the weakening with sickness clan named Sunclan.
After she was filled with guilt and wanted to confess their sins to the other clans, Brittlestar did not want this and killed her, watching her die life by life
While losing her final life, she cursed his kin who loved hers the way she loved him.

And of course, Mintbreeze is Brittlestars kin, and Emberstrike is Redstar’s many generations down the line.

Redstar is a fool for letting love overcome her duty to lead her clan and chose right from wrong, she was easily manipulated into believing murdering and scaring away a whole clan was right . As punishment Starclan refused to let her join them until she had put right what she had put wrong, so she was lost for many years as a spirit within the clans territories.
