Description

Ranman" is a TV drama series based on the life of Tomitaro Makino. My wife likes to look at wild plants and takes me to the mountains where she teaches me the names of flowers such as katakuri, hime-sayuri, shunran, and koshinokobaimo. Her interest in wild plants stems from Makino's plant identification book which her grandfather gave her 56 years ago when she was in first grade. Her grandfather was a mountaineer and the hiking trail to the top of Mount Hiruba, Yonehe Shindo is named after him.
Although I draw mediocre illustrations, I secretly hope to draw like Tomitaro Makino someday.
