Lake Päijänne, FinlandFeb. 2015
I'm honoured to see my picture "Serenity" featured as a Daily Deviation.
Yes it is minimalist, nature sometime can be such minimalist and here I'm just a witness, in this soft light, the white snow that doesn't really look white at this time, but bluish and purple, in the silence, in the middle of this lake, as some snow falls on the far shore, making it to fade away. In a wide print, we could see a small house on the right side of the shore... What a beautiful nature we have.

Wow I really thought that it was a piece of paper! It is a bit too minimalistic for my taste, but I think it's really special! I can't believe nature can be that "silent" and peaceful. You must felt so much rest when you walked there! Great piece, and yes I actually do think this deserved to be a DD!!!

Truly, I thought it was a piece of paper or something and could not fathom how it got a DD... Now that I know what it depicts, I understand much better (though it may be a bit too minimalist for my personal taste - we're all different!

I haven't even noticed it is snow and a landscape, I thought it was a piece of paper with a little line or something.
But after reading it is snow - it looks wonderful. Must've been cold there, but I think it's worth the shot.

W-We had no snow last year and I live in freaking Germany. We are supposed to have at least some snow.

It's a strange winter here too.
2 weeks ago we have -27C, there was nice strong ice, a little snow. This week it was all smelting, the snow and the ice on the lakes, with about +2C.
