Barcus partner digimon is Shamanmon is a refence to the fact that he was in the potion and oracle track, similar to how in most modern Medea depict shamans brewing potions and seeing in to the future like an oracle. Shamanmon digivolvs to Doggymon, was chosen as reference to the fact that he's a dog and that he was in the Detention track before being placed in potion and oracle track. doggymon digivolvs to Oleamon, who is a reference to his studies in the potions, potion are commonly made with flowers and Oleamon is a flower and Oleamon gives me a which brewing potions vibe. Oleamon digivolvs Quantumon. Quantumon was chosen becus of is ability to predict the most passible future by runs millions upon trillions of simulations of the future.
