June 1984. War is looming on the horizon

For years, the Empire of the Rising Sun has expanded its domain across the Pacific. Through conquest, coercion, and diplomacy, Japan has gained complete dominance of much of East Asia. But, for Emperor Yoshiro, the living god, this was not enough. He wanted the whole world to be guided by the enlightening principles of Bushido. So, he calls upon his Shogunate War Council to create a plan that will take down the Empire's biggest rivals: The United States and the Soviet Union.

For 20 years, the relations between the three superpowers were deteriorating. The United States, along with her allies, have condemned both the Empire and the G.E.A.S (Greater East Asian Sphere) for their flagrant disregard of human rights. While the Soviet Union gazes upon the rich lands of Northeast Asia with greedy eyes. This is why, according to Yoshiro, the Western "barbarians" need to be taught a lesson.

On June 12th, 1984, after years of preparation, the Empire was ready to strike!

In the early hours of morning, the Imperial Shadow Army (Japan's special forces) send the psionic twins, Yuriko and Izumi, on a daring mission: launch a pre-emptive strike on American and Soviet nuclear missile silos. While Yuriko spreads destruction across the Siberian taiga, Izumi wreaks havoc throughout the American Midwest. After destroying the missile silos, the sisters make their way to the the capital cites of the two superpowers. There, they give to the leaders of both countries, the Emperor's ultimatum: submit to him or perish!

This unprovoked aggression shocked the world!

During that time, the Imperial military begins their quest for world domination. While the Imperial Navy launches coordinated invasions of Guam, Wake Island, Hong Kong, Midway, and Hawaii, the Imperial Army captures Vladivostok and, along with their Manchurian allies, attack the Soviet Far East. Meanwhile, East Chinese forces invade their western kin, in a bid to "reunify" the country. At first, they gain ground, but the West Chinese army regroups and begins its counter-attack. While to the south, in India, Burmese, Thai, and Indochinese forces march into Indian territory; with the help of Japanese advance units.

Back in Siberia, the Soviet Army sends reinforcements to halt the Japanese advance. But, their advanced technology and the speed of the attacks proved too much of the Soviet defenders. In the Sea of Okhotsk, the Soviet Pacific Fleet was conducting maneuvers, when news reached them of the sudden Imperial invasion. With their home port gone, Admiral Ivanov has no choice but to take the fleet to Alaska; where they would, at least, be safe.

In Hawaii, the invasion takes the US forces completely by surprise! Japanese and Vietnamese troops land on Waikiki beach and move into Honolulu, itself. American Army, National Guard, and police units fight desperately to hold off the Imperial onslaught; giving civilians a chance to escape. Lucky for them, the carriers of the 7th Fleet are stationed off the northern coast of Oahu and are taking as many survivors as possible. The rest of the 7th Fleet tries to escape Pearl Harbor. But, sadly, many of its ships were sunk by Japanese ships, planes, or were scuttled by their own crews. Only two battle-cruisers and four destroyers managed to regroup with the rest of the fleet.

As World War III begins in full swing, many wonder: could this be the end of Western civilization?
